This is a thread for all the beginners that are having trouble with resource overflow and losing lots of their resources

Later in the game you will find that one resource in particular is getting stockpiled to high thus ur other resource plots cant produce anymore

So here is my advice
If you have an excess amount of wood my suggestion is to build u1 because normally u1 will take more wood or build t1 since they require more wood than anything

If you have an excess amount of iron my suggestion is to build t2 since t2 take more iron than anything

If you have an excess amount of stone you have two options either upgrade buildings or you can recruit t3 or u2 troops

u1 - the troop that needs 10 of any troop research i.e cavalry
u2 - the troop that needs of ten of each troop research meaning that you should see all tens for ur troop research to be able to unlock

EXAMPLE

I make 3 Warehouse & 3 Granary on my 5,5,5,5 Military Manor(He-fei), got supply Resource from 7,7,7,7 Manor(Lilypad Dam) where I make 2 Warehouse & 2 Granary. Your Reso would not overflow, since your Military Building keep producing

To prevent resource wastage there are quite a number of methods:

1) Level warehouse and granary to max level. Usually, at level 20, with capability to hold up to 6 mil in warehouse and 2 mil in granary, it takes a few days for resources to overflow even if they are level 20 buildings.

2) Usage of carriers and carrier wagons to act as temporary warehouse and granary. This is good for mobile bases where you keep buildings to around level 10 and not more, usually for quick resupply on the front lines. However, this can quickly become expensive in producing the required amount of carriers and wagons, and you may end up using too many heroes for this to be effective with attacks.

3) Usage of all the resources is always a good idea, but building t1 units is pretty much useless towards mid game, unless you intend for them to act as decoys or tank the first attacks. However, this gives free kills to the opponent side, which is almost always bad. building t2 and t3 may be more useful, but once u1 and u2 comes on to the field, anything lower than a t3 is pretty much cannon fodder, so this method is limited at best. And for building u1 needing more wood than any other resource, that really depends on the u1 that you choose. Generally, u1 archers are stone heavy, but infantry and cavalry could go heavy on almost any resource. For u2, almost all of them are stone heavy, so you'd better have that stone boosting manor hidden somewhere unless you want to match your u1 against those fielding u2s.

4) This is actually one of my favourite methods. For forward bases, its actually okay to build them with multiple warehouses and granaries. Just pop a couple of heroes and keep sending them forward with your troops. Because fielding u1 and u2 usually need a lot of food, which could be supported by a full food manor, but if you do not have one or if the food manor is too far, there is an exchange resources function in the market. It uses 10 gold or coupon, but you can exchange as much as you want! So you can do something like have a front line manor with 20-30 mil resources and just instantly convert them to food and send your u1 or u2 for attacking!

5) Do not build resource buildings. I am not crazy here. For specific manors, like silver manors, its better to waste the resource slot and build more residences instead. If you are the type who likes to build all your troops in 1 single manor, a war factory style manor would do pretty well too. The up side of having a war factory is you only need to build 1 training ground. 1 level 20 training ground is easier to reach than 3 or 4 of them in different manors. The downside is frequent transportation of resources.

6) If you have excess food, donate to city reserves. But this is only for food, and other resources cannot be reduced this way.

7) Build seige units. Unlike other unit classes, t1, t2 of seige classes are still pretty useful late into the game in Kingdom wars, mainly because most seige units only have 1 job: Take down the City Wall! Anything after that is not their job. If they can kill a couple of units, good. If they can't, no matter. Their job is done. And while you may not get kills, you can be sure either the PM or legion commander places a lot of emphasis on whether you join a battle. Your troops could make a fight much easier!

8) The most stupid method. Build carriers holding the excess resources and change them to the front lines. Here you have 2 choices. Either send them to die and waste the resources again, or foist them on players in the same Kingdom. The latter is a good method to support the front line troops if you don't have strong combat heroes and get mainly int or pol based ones.

Best method in my opinion is to calculate the cost of constant production of your U1 and U2 then aim to get your resource production as close as possible to this. See the guide for max Northern Assassins for an example
