About the Rewards:

It means when a player add 5000G during this event, he can get both an Autumn Slip Sword and a Dragon Peacock Cloak.

The Gold top-up event is not attractive and not really sensible. Here's the logic :

There are 3 types of spending players.

a-Players. Non-spending. No matter what gold top-up promotion or bundling whatever. They *will not spend*.

b-Players. Casual-spending. Spend small sums like USD10 ~ USD20, maybe max USD50 . Such players in the game should be abit ahead of others in their in-game development. Likely max , max VIP 4.

c-Players. Heavy-spending. Self-explanatory. At least VIP 5. And their gears/generals should be really quite good.


So your focus will be on (b) and (c).


3K gold = ~USD96 , 5K gold = ~ USD160


USD96 and USD160 becomes out of b-Players' reach.


So this "means" the promotion is "for" c-Players.


USD96 for a red weapon.
USD160 for a red cloak.

So to c-Players, totally not make sense. No incentive to spend for this.

10% more gold is also not incentive (incentive to create impulse-buying is at least 25%).
You raised paypal payment by around 6.7% in June 2012, don't forget that.


Think it through and put yourself in b/c-Players' positions in the game, and think what would make them spend.

Do you (admin) earn ~ USD2500. If yes, would you spend USD96 or USD160 for red gear. Think about it.


Both players and admins want promotions to be successful.

Promotions heavily depend on impulse-buying as well as targeting which type of players.  

This promotion is not, and won't be, too successful.

As a c-Player , myself. I rather see giving JADES, than red-gears.

It is an old promotion. Last time it was on, I was around lvl 100 and bougth 3K god for a red gear.
But now i have all purples, i am selling reds. i dont see any reason to buy another 3K gold at the moment.

Make it more interesting for me, then i ll consider to spend some dollars ;)

I know the new purple gears is out already for the 140 version.. if koram is smart enough they should give those rewards instead of red useless items that we can merge easily.  There is a new purple horse called 7 steps, hope we can see it here soon.
