Heroes

    Fundamentals
  • Heroes are an integral part of your army.  Without them any military function must be substituted with a messanger.
  • Heroes can be found in the Career Center.  Two heroes will refresh every 24 hours.  If you chose to use 1 gold you can refresh 4 heroes (There is a small probability to find an epic).  If you chose to do an epic hero refresh, then it costs more gold (10 or 50).
  • Epic heroes can be acquired this way, by defeating an army at a historical city (black flag event), or defeating the escort guardian as a rare drop.  Black Flag Cities are red dots on the radar in the map function and are active during scheduled event times.
  • Normal heroes' combined stats are usually 120 or less.  There are some that are above 100 (more frequent with a level 10 Career Center).  Epic heroes' stats are not above 120 as level 1.  It is possible to find level 100 Epic heroes. if you do not pay it (20 gold for 1 star heroes).
  • Most normal heroes stats at level 100 cap at 65.  If you find a hero with very skewed stats, then that hero will cap above 65 for the stats that are skewed higher.
  • Heroes can be leveled up when they meet their experience goal.  For the first three levels you are given free pancaea.  Pancaea allows you to distribute 1 unassigned attribute point randomly to your hero.  After level 3 you must pay 3 gold to use pancaea for normal and 1 star epic heroes, 5 gold for 2 star epic heroes, and 10 gold for 3 star epic heroes or you can loot a preserving bolus in the tower of trials. A preserving bolus does the same function as pancaea.
  • Heroes can equip weapons, armor, items, scrolls, and abilities to help them in politics, duels, and military affairs.
  • RTK_hero_Infantry.jpg
    INF heros and RTK_hero_Cavalry.jpg
    CAV heros
INF (spd 10) and CAV (spd 20) heroes have different moving speeds. Infantry heroes will cause cavalry to move slower.  Try to pair INF heroes with infantry and CAV heroes with cavalry.
  • To obtain more than two normal heroes, upgrade your career center to level 10 or level 20.  You can also create a new city with a level 1 career center.
  • Remember, you can have an infinite number of epic heroes.

Warning:  Heroes will flee if you send them out to attack and their stamina is less than the casualty percentage.  Make sure to check your heroes stamina before sending them to battle.

Hero Screen

  • To access your hero, look at the top right hand side of your screen; next to your portrait.  There are several small icons.  The first icon is the hero icon.  Click it.
    RTK_Right_Side_Toolbar_hero.jpg
  • When you click this, it brings you to the hero screen.
    RTK_Hero_screen.jpg

    Next to the Picture are:
    • RTK_hero_Lvl.jpg
Level: The level of your hero
    • RTK_hero_Reputation.jpg
Reputation:  The reputation of your hero (Gained through the arena)
    • RTK_hero_EXP.jpg
Ex:  Experience gained / Experience needed
    • RTK_hero_Status.jpg
Status: On task, Waiting, On March, or Fled.
    • RTK_hero_Position.jpg
Position: Hero's civil or military position.
    • RTK_hero_Fortify.jpg
Fortify:  The city your hero is in.
    • RTK_hero_Stamina.jpg
Stamina:  Current stamina/Total stamina  (Stamina increases by [hero level]% each hour.)
  • Assigned Status Points:  Points that are randomly assigned using pancaea or preserving bolus.
  • Unassigned Status Points:  Points that were not assigned during the leveling process.  They can be assigned using pancaea or the preserving bolus.

    Hero Attributes

    • RTK_hero_STR.jpg
Strength:  This value represents hero's combat ability when leading soldiers in battle. Initial Atk. and Def. for all heroes is 100. Strength is then added to hero's initial Att. and Def. to form the final value.

Example: Hero strength: 20, Att: 120, Def: 120
    • RTK_hero_LDR.jpg
Leadership:  Affects the army's attack and defense when the hero leads army to battle. This raises the attack and defense by 0.2% for every point of Leadership. If multiple heroes were involved in the same battle, the hero with the highest Leadership takes effect.
    • RTK_hero_INT.jpg
Intellect: Intellect affects the hero's ability to use scrollpurse (yin/yang).
    • RTK_hero_POL.jpg
Politics:  Politics affects the resource output of a city.  It is only effective when the hero is the governor of a city.   Each city may only have one Governor.  For every point of Politics, the governor can increase resource output by 0.2%
    • The heroes’ speed depends on their type.  Speed of Infantry heroes is 10, that of Cavalry heroes is 20.

    Duel Attributes

    Increased with equipment
    • RTK_hero_HP.jpg
HP:  Hit points of the hero.
    • RTK_hero_ATK.jpg
Attack: Affects attack, 3 points of strength = 1 point of attack.
    • RTK_hero_Hit.jpg
      Hit Rate: Affects hit accuracy.
    • RTK_hero_Crit.jpg
      Critical: Affects critical hit
    • RTK_hero_AGL.jpg
Agility: Affects the speed at which a hero will attack first
    • RTK_hero_Armor.jpg
Armor: Affects hero defense percentage,  1000 armor = 10% damage reduction.  *This involves a diminishing returns formula and 1000 = 10% is not completely accurate.*
    • RTK_hero_Dodge.jpg
      Dodge: Affects dodge rate

    Hero Activities
    • Experience:There are several ways to gain experience with your hero.

      • Send the hero to a faction camp to duel an enemy officer.  To access the faction camp, go to the faction map (this is on the left hand side of the screen when in resource or city mode).  Click on a city name and then click on one of the officers on a horse.  They scale up in level from top to bottom and to duel the general it costs gold.
      • Send the hero to do a faction quest.  Some faction quest (under Quest--->Faction Quests) give hero experience.
      • Attack the Escort Guardian.  The Escort Guardian(s) appears randomly on the faction map in one of the cities.  He is represented by a blue standing army.  If the soldiers are dead and scattered, then someone has already defeated them.

    • Items, Abilities , Equipment, and Skills:  These can be acquired though any type of military action. If an item is bound, you cannot send it as a gift to another player.
    • Equipment Levels
      • Gray is below average
      • Green is average
      • Blue is above average
      • Purple is elite
      • and I haven't seen Orange in this game, but it is in others and I consider it Epic/Legendary.
    • Skills:  To use the skills from the skillsbook, the hero must first have the skill bar "unlocked".  This is done though the various types of bolus and can be obtained from quests or bought with gold.
    • Abilities:  Abilities can be added to the ability bar without unlocking.  However, once an ability is removed from the bar, it is destroyed and not recovered.

    RTK_Abilities_Scrolls.jpg

    Equipment
    • Every hero can wear equipment.  Equipment can be viewed under the equipment tab when in the hero screen.
    • There are several different types of equipment: Helm, Chest, Weapon, Boots, Scrollpurse (the yin/yang symbol), Chestmirror, Gloves, and Horse.
    • Each of these equipments have stats and abilities that some with them.  If you scroll over them it gives a partial description.

    Governor
    • To appoint a hero as a governor, click on the Governor's House and click on the button that says "appoint".
    • Chose a hero to appoint as governor.
    • Heroes that are appointed as governor will affect the output of your resources of that city.
    • Politics and equipped items affect the percent of output.

    Position
    • At the top of the heroes profile there are two red words: Profile and Position.
    • Profile is the first screen that you view for all of your heroly things.
    • Position is used to appoint your hero to a rank that increases the hero's stats.
    • A hero may be placed into a position after the user/player (you) have attained a nobility title.

    Exile
    • Heroes that are in exile may be called back by using the call back function in the career center.
    • If you do not have enough resources to do a normal call back, then only the fast call back (gold) and exile will appear. So make sure you have enough resources to call back.

From what I have gathered on the world channels and across the posts, one can only access and subsequently allocate all those "unassigned status points" if one uses gold to pay for it. So technically speaking, your hero(es) will never be at optimal status points/level unless you pay for the function.

Again you do not need to pay gold to assign points. That function is for re-assigning points AFTER THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN ASSIGNED.

There is a specific Bolus in the Tower of Trials that allows you to assign, UN-assigned points. They are two different functions entirely.

This is not completely true.  You may pay to use pancea to use your unassigned status point during the leveling process.  You may also pay to have the points reassigned using the reassign function.  Yes they are separate functions, but both cost gold.  It is true that you can loot a bolus in the ToT to assign them as well.
