Parking at oasis
hi.. as u may know. lots of player has many troops parking at the OASIS. can u make the LAST troops coming, dead first of starving??Example: 1 oasis can handle 1000 pop.
A is the first parking with 500pop, then B is coming with 400pop, then A or others is coming for parking again with 300 pop... can u make the starving happen for the last 300 only --> 200 is dead... then C or D or E comes again, n they r the first to death. I dont know how to exactly awnser your question, I apologize.
But thats totally some creative thinking, you should totally change your name to Cheng Yu lol. :P Yeah, that will solve the parking problem in most servers when they have an overwhelming army and no food :lol
People tend to park their army in inactive player's oasis to cure food problems, but when 2 or more people park their army in oasis, they start starving without the player's knowledge and when they come back, they see hundreds if not, thousands of troops disappearing, without knowing where they came from. And the really sad thing is, you can't "heal" starving army in the aid station, since they "fled" instead of getting "injured".
And also, the guy who parked after the oasis was fully parked (0 food output), caused the guy who parked first to lose his army as well...
So, in the long run, I believe this suggestion will help those players in ultimate servers... Punish the double parkers :lol
Therefore I agree :) Are you 100% sure that the tactic he is proposing will work to kill the enemy troops?
Or just agreeing to his tactic? Zhuge Ke replied at 17-3-2012 14:39 static/image/common/back.gif

Well, this problem definitely solves double parking issues in the game, mainly in ultimate servers. It's not really to kill enemy troops, but to kill the troops of players who park the army after the oasis becomes full, which causes a lot of inconvenience for whoever parked in there first, because both sides start starving even though the first player parked in there first.
More of a oasis parking problem then a war tactic :) I just attack all enemy or suspected oasis with troops/heroes in them.
But im just wondering if it works or not, if you have 1k troops 600 Someone elses, 400 Yours, when theirs gets to 399, will yours take over because its higher then it rinse and repeat the process until both armies are starved to death? Well it depends on the leader's rules on the server, as some servers don't allow parking in farms.
Regarding how the troops die... There are multiple theories about it, but well, no one actually knows how the starving takes place exactly, but I do know that both sides will start losing army at the same time until the food output of the parked city becomes zero :)
Well if someone pulled that on a server I lead, they surely would get a nice warning not to do it again, its a pretty dirty tactic if your not enemies.
Starving troops is like Caesar cutting off the gauls with a wall around their town, except another army will come and clear the entire oasis, finding out whose doing it.
This would be considered an act of war tactic if used on two or more active players in my eyes, but others may think differently of course, killing/starving troops is killing troops, but then again if your looking for parking space on a merged server, you should have many of your own towns with tons of parking space, and I am sure many people have quit by then thus many other towns you could store in, if your not farming.
If there is no way to predict how the troops starve, its a unproven tactic then and best to be used at the risk of the player doing it.
Its a creative way, but I dont think its one of the more effective ways. :P Zhuge Ke replied at 17-3-2012 15:07 static/image/common/back.gif

Well, in many of the ultimate servers which allows parking in oasis, 99% of those oasis are parked dry...
Yeah some people do that in order to starve the army of somebody they don't like, but in most cases, they do it unknowingly, or they simply don't care and just want a piece of the pie. and it kinda sucks seeing the army die, having parked there months earlier :P
This idea actually might help a lot, so people who park there after it's full, will end up getting starved instead, and the person who parked before the output turns zero wouldn't lose their army :) Quite a good idea to solve the issue :D why do i issued this idea, coz i'd asked the cs how tko calculate the starving troops in the oase. n the answer is...........tadaaaaaaaaa....
RANDOMLY --> n i do hate this answer. Oasis parking problem always leads me to kill someone :@ damn irritating.
Add on: especially when ppl attack oasis troops:curse: There are some misconceptions here with oasis parking..
1) Incoming supporting troops split grain/hr with old supporting troops. This is wrong. New incoming supporting troops has higher priority over previously parked troops, causing old troops to always die out first. Simplest coding.
2) A player with bad intention can just go around sticking troops in oases to just kill off other people troops. This is hardly effective, it takes time to build troops and if he wants to kill troops this way, there are still other people who will park troops over him at those oases.
It is difficult to detect where your troops are starving when you parked troops from one city at hundreds of oases. Its actually quite simple, I always send armies to park in numbers ending in 0, once they start to starve I can check CC and pull back. Once they are pulled back, my attack army is on its way to kill whoever double parked me. Responsible players will send 1 scout to oases to check for room before sending blindly. :@:@:@ ДЙїӎӑɭ~Ըђiת replied at 14-4-2012 10:01 static/image/common/back.gif

I normally go 111 222 333 444 555..ending with 0 sounds nice too..but make sure its 2 or more zero..just incase it die 10. lol! i used to do that
in fact, i dont withdraw my troops first, i politely send fake attack in order the attacked-lord will send me msg. but nowadays, even after u send fake attack, they just ignore u... n i must use your strategy to withdraw then attack the random-parker. it's just a waste of time for me to do that :) 1 oasis must be make who allow to support 2 who abuse the rule give them soldier 0 in return 3 park other people without agree from the owner will become auto attack that oasis TranHungDao replied at 14-4-2012 02:08 static/image/common/back.gif

r u sure that's this game's programming logic??? coz i've asked koram cs, they said: IT'S RANDOM. vlades replied at 12-7-2012 16:34 static/image/common/back.gif

pretty sure of this..99%..and you'll learn not to trust CS regarding advanced or in-depth game tactics like this.
