Bro, gifting in the career center is mainly based around luck and expenditure of gold... you will not find a starred hero every search.
Is quite random and each player has his own theories and ideas about searching and finding epics.
For free epics - kill some escort guardians - again is based on luck but you can find free 1* epics there and don't forget your 5 free in the Hermit House :)
and your 2 x 3* and 1 x 2* from Quest.

I always have my own theory as to how I have managed to get addicted to Career Center and collect 10 x 3* in S62 and the same in U19...
My ratio is 2:1 so for every 3* have 2 x 2*...
My method is simple.... I do not use 50g searches..
I use 10 x 1g then 10g search until Epic appears - then repeat the cycle... once a 3* arrives and this for me has been on average every 1.3k - 1.5k gold spent.
Who you get and their level IE 1 or 100 is random and you need some good luck :)
This is what works for me - I have been playing since S3.
I am sure others have their own theories - BUT bro it is important to tell you that there is no set strategy for recruiting from career center. Random & Luck...

i was just curious coz my CC lv 5 and i perform large gift but then only 1* hero's appear.
then i upgrade my CC til lv 10 and offer large gift again, the result is not bad. got 2 * hero.

Hi Bro, I believe the level of the career center and level of nobility will only affect the 'quality' of the of the Normal heros that appear.

Hey, it went on for the max number of rounds.... so the system works out who did the most damage and award them the win.... this is my thought without seeing the written transcript... :P

Duel's always go on the amount of damage / hero strength I believe and do not favour the defensive strategy of restore...

:) Al depends on your strategy for each Hero.... some need to be defensive some are all offense.... but POWER always seems to win as with anything in life I suppose...
